The delegation accompanying Prime Minister Hun Manet includes Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, along with a selection of ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. This information was disseminated through a press announcement that came to public attention on the 17th of June.

A critical agenda item during this visit is the meeting between Prime Minister Hun Manet and his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong. This engagement is aimed at reinforcing the diplomatic bond between the two nations, especially in anticipation of the 60th anniversary of their established diplomatic relationship in the upcoming year. Their discussions will venture into potential areas for bolstered bilateral relations and extended cooperation across multiple sectors. Additionally, there is an expectation for dialogue on various regional and global matters that are of mutual interest and concern to both countries. A suite of cooperation documents is slated to be signed, marking the sundry areas of collaboration. One of the highlights of this visit will be the official inauguration of the Financial Transparency Corridor Project, signifying a new phase in the financial cooperation between the two nations.

The scope of Prime Minister Hun Manet’s visit extends beyond governmental meetings. He is scheduled to engage in courtesy calls with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, which will further enrich diplomatic interactions between the two countries.

A focal point of the visit will be Prime Minister Hun Manet’s participation in the Cambodia-Singapore Business Forum. Here, he is expected to deliver a keynote address that will likely shed light on future economic partnerships and opportunities between Cambodia and Singapore. The event is projected to gather a spectrum of representatives from both governments and various stakeholders, aiming to foster a deeper economic connection.

In addition to the economic and diplomatic engagements, Prime Minister Hun Manet’s itinerary includes visits to prominent educational and infrastructural sites in Singapore. Notably, the Nanyang Polytechnic and its Centre of Innovation for Electronics & Internet of Things, as well as the Keppel Infrastructure@Changi building, are on the agenda, showcasing aspects of innovation and development that are pertinent to both countries.
