Bin Zayed International Explores Investment Opportunities in Cambodia During ASEAN Summit

Kuala Lumpur — On the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call from Mr. Shamir Kumar Nandy, Managing Director of Bin Zayed International (Malaysia) Berhad (BZI), to discuss potential investment opportunities in Cambodia.

Mr. Nandy conveyed his appreciation to Prime Minister Hun Manet for the warm reception and expressed BZI’s keen interest in expanding its footprint in the Kingdom. He highlighted that BZI operates in multiple countries across the region, with diversified business interests in real estate, financial services, clean energy, healthcare, and education. Given Cambodia’s stable economic environment and growing regional relevance, he noted that the country presents an attractive destination for long-term investment.

Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed BZI’s interest in Cambodia and reaffirmed the Royal Government’s strong commitment to fostering a dynamic and investor-friendly business environment. He emphasized the recent implementation of Cambodia’s new Law on Investment, which offers greater flexibility, transparency, and practical incentives for foreign investors.

The Prime Minister also outlined several high-potential sectors that align with Cambodia’s national development priorities, including infrastructure, green energy, industrial manufacturing, and digital services. He encouraged BZI to engage proactively with the Kingdom’s relevant ministries and institutions to explore specific investment opportunities.

The meeting underscores Cambodia’s increasing appeal to regional and global investors and reflects the government’s proactive approach to attracting strategic investments that support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
