Cambodia earned $7 billion from goods exports to the United States.

According to a report from the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), Cambodia exported $7 billion in commodities to the US market in the first nine months of this year, a 29.4 percent rise year on year.

Based on the report, the US remained the top importer of Cambodian products, followed by Vietnam, China, Japan, Canada, and Germany, accounting for 40.8 percent of Cambodia’s total goods export volume between January and September.

Cambodia’s exports to the United States were primarily garments, but also included footwear, bicycles, and furniture. Automobiles, machinery, electrical appliances, and electronics are all imported into the Kingdom.

According to the data, the Kingdom imported $250.7 million in goods from the US during the time, a 2.5 percent reduction year on year.

Cambodia exported $17.2 billion in the third quarter, a 22.1 percent rise from the same period last year, according to the GDCE.
