Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prak Sokhonn, held bilateral talks with Vietnam’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Le Hoai Trung, in Cebu, Philippines. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat.

The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Cambodia and Vietnam. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close and stable diplomatic ties. They stressed the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation at all levels to support long-term partnership and mutual development.

Economic cooperation was a key focus of the discussion. Both sides agreed to enhance trade and investment ties and promote stronger economic connectivity. Improving transport links and logistics was highlighted as an important step to support cross-border trade and people-to-people exchanges.

Border cooperation was also discussed during the meeting. The ministers reiterated their shared commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and trust along the Cambodia–Vietnam border.
