Cambodia Hosts Inaugural EdTech Summit to Drive Innovation and Launch Digital Education Strategy

The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports has launched the first-ever Cambodia EdTech Summit, a pioneering event aimed at transforming education through technology. Held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), the two-day summit brings together key stakeholders to explore innovative digital learning solutions.

The event was inaugurated with a keynote address by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, alongside representatives from various sectors.

The summit features a diverse range of activities, including strategic discussions led by national and international experts, a knowledge-sharing forum, an education technology exhibition, and a teacher competition program. Additionally, a digital competency competition offers participants the opportunity to assess and enhance their digital skills.

Bringing together policymakers, educators, IT specialists, EdTech innovators, and industry leaders, the summit aims to address challenges and unlock new opportunities in digital education, ultimately benefiting children and youth across Cambodia.

A key highlight of the event is the official launch of Cambodia’s Digital Education Strategy for Schools (DESS), underscoring the government’s commitment to integrating technology-driven learning into the national education system.

The summit will run until Feb. 18, fostering further collaboration and partnership-building to drive the future of digital education in Cambodia.
