Battambang Governor Sok Lou’s Comprehensive Development Plan for Transforming Phnom Sampov into a Premier Cultural and Historical Tourist Destination

Battambang Provincial Governor Sok Lou, with a team of experts and key stakeholders, recently led a comprehensive inspection of the historic Phnom Sampov site. Their mission? To craft a master plan aimed at elevating security, public order, and the overall charm of this cultural gem.

The Battambang Provincial Administration, in its Monday statement, revealed ambitious plans for the site’s transformation. The strategy involves the construction of a new pagoda, significant upgrades to infrastructure, and a complete makeover of the garden areas. To enhance the visual harmony, the team also intends to streamline the haphazard structures scattered around the base of Sampov Mountain, located in Phnom Sampov commune, Banon district.

The vision is clear—turn Phnom Sampov into a top-tier tourist destination that blends heritage with modern conveniences. With careful planning and a touch of elegance, this historic landmark is set to shine brighter than ever, drawing visitors from near and far to experience the cultural richness of Battambang Province.
