Siem Reap is one of the top five tourist destinations worldwide.

As the tourism and travel sectors in Cambodia and around the world prepare for a strong rebound this year, Siem Reap has been named one of the top five trending tourism destinations for 2023 in a recent poll.

Siem Reap is the fourth most popular tourist destination in the world. According to the renowned online travel agency Trip Advisor.

Tripadvisor’s report on the top trending destinations for 2023 puts Cuba at the top, followed by Hoi An in Vietnam, Mauritius, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Chiang Mai in Thailand, Grand Cayman in the Caribbean, Fes in Morocco, Baku in Azerbaijan, Kathmandu (the capital of Nepal), and Krakow in Poland.

“Siem Reap is a tourism-friendly province. Aside from temples, there are numerous other tourist attractions awaiting national and international tourists, particularly nightlife after a full day visit. PUB Street is a destination that offers a sense of enjoyment, food and drink, and wonderful music,” the Ministry of Tourism said on January 30th, 2023, on its Facebook page.

TopThe top trending places in the world for 2023 indicate tourism hotspots with the largest increase in interest from tourists on the TripAdvisor website year-over-year.

During the Lunar New Year celebrations, Siem Reap attracted over 105,400 tourists, including over 15,400 foreigners, according to a report published by the Tourism Ministry last week.
