As it celebrates ten years of excellence in higher education and innovation, the Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT), located in the serene environs of Kirirom National Park, Cambodia, is proud to announce a significant expansion in its scholarship and sponsorship offerings. KIT’s commitment is evident in its holistic approach to education, emphasizing not just theoretical learning but also practical, real-world applications. This approach is foundational to the newly introduced Academic Excellence Scholarships, which are available to students exhibiting exceptional academic prowess. The breakdown of these scholarships is as follows:
- Grade A students receive a 100% scholarship for 30 seats
- Grade B students benefit from a 70% reduction in fees for 30 seats
- Grade C grants a 50% scholarship across 30 seats
- Students with a Grade D are afforded a 20% tuition reduction, also available to 30 students
Following the freshman year, KIT continues to support high-performing students through the Academic Merit Scholarships. These continue into the subsequent years of study and cover up to 100% of tuition based on academic results:
- Grade A+ students can receive a full scholarship
- Students who achieve a Grade A gain 70% tuition coverage
- For a B+, 50% of fees are covered
- And Grade B students benefit from a 30% reduction
Moreover, KIT is actively leveling the educational playing field with its Full Sponsorship Program for 30 highly capable students who may be economically disadvantaged or from marginalized backgrounds. This initiative covers not just tuition, but also essential living costs, and is specifically open to underrepresented groups including the LGBT community, students with disabilities, ethnic minorities, and those from remote or underserved areas. Female students are particularly encouraged to apply to enrich the diversity of the educational environment.
This inclusive outlook extends beyond financial support. KIT offers programs in Software Engineering, Planning and Design (Architecture), and Tourism Management. Each program is intricately designed to provide a pathway not only to academic achievement but also to career success, focusing on the needs of the 21st-century job market.
