In a recent address at the 2023 annual meeting of the Public Financial Management Reform Program-Stage 4, held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet outlined the necessity of incorporating four crucial elements to ensure the effectiveness of reform initiatives. The meeting, which took place on Wednesday, February 14, served as a platform for the Prime Minister to share his insights on the driving forces behind successful reforms.
Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that for reform efforts to be fruitful, they must be grounded in a clear and well-defined objective. In light of these challenges, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the seventh-mandate Royal Government to persist in the pursuit of reform, guided by the principles set forth by Samdech Techo. These principles, which include self-assessment, rejuvenation, thorough examination, and decisive action, are seen as critical to maintaining momentum and achieving long-term success in reform endeavors.
