As Covid-19 is in control in Cambodia, organisers have announced that the 9th Cambodia Book Fair will take place this year.
The 9th Cambodia Book Fair Organizing Committee, according to Hok Sothy, Director of Sipar, will reorganise the Cambodia Book Fair, which will take place from December 9 to 11 at the National Library in Daun Penh, Phnom Penh. This statement was made during a courtesy call on Information Minister Khieu Kanharith.
According to Sothy, the Cambodia Book Fair is an annual socio-cultural event organised at the National Library by the Cambodia Book Fair Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Information, Education, Youth, and Sports. Cambodian Library Association, as well as other related institutions
According to the director, the exhibition was cancelled in 2020 and 202 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this year, since the situation of Covid-19 has improved significantly, the commission has chosen to reschedule the book fair.
The book fair is intended to encourage both reading and writing, as well as the book industry.
