Promoting dynamic recruitment to increase workforce efficiency

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – August 21st 2024, Joblink is an innovative Job and Internship fair that will be held at the Factory Phnom Penh, on October 12th and 13th 2024, particularly designed for students and young professionals from 20 to 30 years old, and purposed to provide them with the best tools and opportunities for a successful career.

Joblink expects to attract over 4,000 visitors, featuring 100+ companies and 45+workshop instructors and is organized with the active support of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and the National Employment Agency, and the support of the Ministry of Education, Youths, and Sports and the Ministry of Commerce. Joblink takes its origin in the realization of the difficulties met by many Cambodian companies in recruiting new talents, leading to frustration and hindered growth.

“Recruitment shouldn’t start when you need new talents”, said Moran Hadad, an organizer of Joblink. “It is an ongoing process, just like taking care of yourself every day rather than just when you’re sick. Companies should continuously nurture and grow their talent pool. Joblink opens a door for dynamic and efficient recruitment where companies can connect with future employees in a fun and meaningful way, build trust, and ensure a better match for their future needs.”

Aimed to introduce a new recruitment model in Cambodia, Joblink gives companies the opportunity to connect and interact with a large pool of potential recruits, showcasing their brand culture and employment identity, and starting to build their dynamic recruitment database for further development.

Joblink, a Job and Internship Fair with a twist

To achieve its goals, Joblink offers its visitors 3 distinct zones of interaction:

Exhibition Zone: A prime space for businesses to exhibit their culture, products, and services, and interact with potential recruits through scheduled meetings and spontaneous exchanges.

Workshops Zone: Joblink features five workshop halls with over 45 different speakers and instructors, offering sessions on essential career preparation topics such as CV building, interview techniques, overcoming adversity, and more. Participating companies will have the opportunity to host workshops and share their experience and expertise.

Games & Activities Zone: Engage with potential recruits beyond traditional interviews through team-building games, traditional Khmer games, and social activities. Participating companies will have the opportunity to host and tailor a game or activity for talent scouting.

By taking part in Joblink, companies will be able to engage with young professionals, enhance their employer branding, create their dynamic recruitment database, and support the development of Cambodian youth.

Joblink Web Application: Enhancing the Recruitment Experience

Another key innovation of Joblink is the development of a proprietary web application designed to streamline the experience for both job seekers and companies and ease the recruitment process. The Joblink app allows job seekers to create their accounts, build a CV, and receive a unique QR code that will allow them to seamlessly interact with the companies present at the fair. Companies will also have their profile and QR codes, facilitating interactions during the event. The main features of the Joblink Web Application include:

● Search for a job: Searching through a database of available job openings posted by companies present at the fair.

● Appointment Scheduling: Similar to Calendly, job seekers and companies can schedule quick, fun 20-minute interviews or meetings, ensuring efficient and meaningful connections. No need to bring copies of your CV, it is a QR code scan away from being delivered to the company of your choice.

● Workshop Reservations: Job seekers can reserve their spots for workshop sessions in advance, allowing them access to valuable information about how to build a successful career. Access to workshops is granted by scanning their personal QR code, allowing for organized and structured participation.

● Digital Passport: Job seekers can collect digital stamps from companies as they interact by scanning their QR codes, joining their recruitment database, gaining a sense of achievement and connection, and winning numerous prizes.

“Joblink was built to bridge the gap between the Cambodian C-level working class and the vibrant and dynamic Cambodian youth. I always wondered why it was so difficult to recruit in Cambodia with such a big pool of committed, creative, and extremely capable young talents. I believe the difficulty lies in the difference of each party’s expectations, and Joblink was designed to alleviate that” concluded Moran Hadad.

JobLink-Brief Presenrtation

Joblink is inviting you to join and be part of a new era in recruitment. Reserve your booth, workshop, or activity today and engage with the young and talented workforce of Cambodia.
