Phnom Penh, November 5, 2025 — Cambodia is set to enhance its global tourism presence as H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, leads a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) to two major international events — the World Travel Market (WTM) 2025 in London, United Kingdom, and the 26th Session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) General Assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The World Travel Market 2025, taking place from November 4 to 6, is one of the most prominent annual tourism exhibitions in Europe. This year’s event is expected to attract over 50,000 participants and more than 4,000 exhibitors from over 180 countries, showcasing destinations, travel services, and tourism innovations.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Tourism dated November 3, the Cambodian delegation will conduct working meetings with key tourism organizations and business leaders in the United Kingdom and across Europe. These engagements aim to strengthen tourism cooperation, promote Cambodia as a sustainable travel destination, and encourage greater tourist inflows from the European market.
Following the London exhibition, H.E. Huot Hak will lead the high-level delegation to the 26th UNWTO General Assembly in Riyadh from November 7 to 11, 2025. The biennial gathering is recognized as the largest global forum for tourism ministers, attracting representatives from more than 160 member countries. The assembly serves as a platform to discuss global tourism trends, set policy directions, and identify strategic priorities for sustainable tourism development.
During the event, Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism is scheduled to preside over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral tourism cooperation with partner countries. The Minister will also hold meetings with tourism leaders from Saudi Arabia and several other nations to explore opportunities for collaboration, investment, and knowledge exchange.
The Cambodian government’s active participation in both international forums reflects its ongoing efforts to boost the country’s global tourism profile, attract foreign investment, and diversify tourism markets beyond Asia.
With Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and commitment to sustainable tourism, the Kingdom continues to position itself as a key destination for international travelers and investors alike.
