Cambodia Trade Expo 2025 Showcases 150 High-Quality Khmer Product Booths to Boost Exports and Investment

Cambodia’s flagship annual trade promotion event, the Cambodia Trade Expo (CTExpo), opened on December 4 with around 150 high-quality Khmer product booths out of a total of 250 exhibitors. The expo is positioned as a major platform to promote Cambodian products to global markets and facilitate meetings between local producers and international investors.

Organised by the Ministry of Commerce, CTExpo marks its 18th edition this year. The 2025 event is being held from December 4–7 at the PH Grand Hall Center, Borey Peng Huoth Boeng Snor, Phnom Penh, under the theme “Trade Renaissance: Local Products Empowerment”.

During the inauguration ceremony, Commerce Minister Cham Nimul stated that the key objective of CTExpo 2025 is to showcase, support and elevate local products. She noted that many Cambodian companies have taken the opportunity to present their goods at a time when consumer demand for local products is increasing.

Beyond product showcases, the expo features a range of accompanying events, including a forum on Cambodia’s export sector, a business-matching programme, a student competition, and musical performances. Imported products will also be on display, complementing the variety of Cambodian-made goods.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, who also serves as the First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), described CTExpo as a creative and diverse platform aligned with current economic trends. He said the event plays an important role in highlighting the country’s competitive products and services while creating opportunities for business cooperation between Cambodian and international enterprises.

He added that the expo could help accelerate domestic commercial activities, strengthen local market linkages, and provide wider market access for Cambodian producers. Such progress, he noted, will support improved production capacity and gradually reduce the country’s reliance on imports.

The deputy prime minister also emphasised that CTExpo can help international businesses and investors better understand Cambodia’s investment potential, available incentive packages and competitive advantages. This understanding, he said, could encourage new investment decisions and partnerships, particularly in bringing high-quality Cambodian products to overseas markets.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the expo was previously known as the Cambodian Products and Import-Export Goods Exhibition (CIEGE). The shift to the name “Cambodia Trade Expo” reflects a modern, simplified identity intended to resonate with dynamic international markets.

CTExpo 2025 is expected to draw significant business interest, enhance the visibility of Khmer-made products and strengthen Cambodia’s position as a rising player in regional and global trade.
