ASEAN Senior Officials Convene in Vientiane to Forge Ahead with Community Building

In a significant gathering held on June 6, 2024, in Vientiane, Lao PDR, senior officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) convened to deliberate on a set of pivotal issues directing the future course of the region. Among the esteemed attendees was His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, representing Cambodia as its ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) Leader.

Another focal point of the meeting was the meticulous preparation for the upcoming 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (57th AMM) slated for July 2024.
