Cambodia and Cuba plan to expand bilateral collaboration in a wide range of sectors.

Cambodia and Cuba will sign a series of agreements that will broaden their bilateral collaboration in a wide range of areas.

The signing ceremony will take place during Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz’s official visit to Cambodia from October 4-6, 2022, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

During the visit, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, will grant Marrero Cruz a Royal Audience at the Royal Palace, according to a news statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The Cuban Premier will also make courtesy calls on Say Chhum, President of the Senate, and Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly.

Cuba’s Prime Minister will also meet with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen in a bilateral meeting. The two Prime Ministers will preside over the signing of a variety of treaties that will increase bilateral cooperation in sports, education, and culture, among other sectors.

Marrero Cruz will lay flowers at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk “Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh,” Cambodia’s late King-Father.

The visit of Marrero Cruz will reaffirm Cambodia and Cuba’s long-standing and friendly relations as well as highlight the need to further deepen and widen collaboration for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.
