Cambodia Airways has launched a new direct flight service between Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Nanjing, China. The route expands the airline’s international network ahead of the 2026 Chinese New Year travel season, a period known for high passenger demand.
The inaugural flight was operated on 29 January 2026. Cambodia Airways flight KR910 departed from Nanjing Lukou International Airport and arrived in Phnom Penh as scheduled. The aircraft completed its first round trip on the same day, officially beginning regular operations between the two cities.
This marks the second China-focused route added by Cambodia Airways in January 2026. Earlier in the month, the airline introduced direct flights between Sihanoukville and Chengdu. These additions reflect ongoing efforts to improve air connectivity between Cambodia and major Chinese destinations.
The Phnom Penh–Nanjing service offers a more convenient travel option for passengers by reducing travel time and removing the need for transit through other airports. Direct flights are considered important for supporting tourism, business travel, and cross-border movement, especially during major holiday periods.
Cambodia Airways currently operates several direct routes connecting Phnom Penh with key cities in China, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau, Chongqing, Changsha, and Sanya. The airline also serves the Sihanoukville–Chengdu route, providing access to both Cambodia’s capital and coastal regions.
