As part of their scheduled visit, two Indian naval ships arrived at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port today, marking a significant step in strengthening solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between India and Cambodia.

The vessels, INS Sujata and ICGS Veera, are led by Rear Admiral Arjun Sekhar, Commander of INS Sujata, and Rear Admiral Ramesh V Talke, Commander of ICGS Veera. Their four-day visit underscores the commitment to enhancing naval collaboration and fostering deeper relations between the two nations.

Upon arrival, the commanders and crew were warmly received by Lieutenant Commander Mean Savoeun, Deputy Commander of the Ream Naval Base, along with several other Cambodian naval officers.

The INS Sujata (P56) is a 2,260-tonne vessel, measuring 102 meters in length, 11.5 meters in width, with a draught of 5 meters and a speed of 15 knots. Meanwhile, the ICGS Veera (No. 35), an Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), has a deadweight of 3,000 tonnes, a length of 99 meters, a width of 14.9 meters, a draught of 4.7 meters, and a speed of 26 knots.

The visit, which extends until Monday, aims to further strengthen defense cooperation, deepen bilateral ties, and reinforce the bonds of friendship and solidarity between India and Cambodia.
