Ministry of Environment Launches E-Library: Revolutionizing Environmental Knowledge
Ecology Environment Save The Planet Concept

The Ministry of Environment recently unveiled its groundbreaking e-library, marking a pivotal step towards advancing environmental knowledge and modernizing institutions. The grand ceremony, graced by Say Samal, Minister of Environment, welcomed various esteemed guests including university rectors, representatives from the private sector, national and international development partners, as well as teachers and young individuals.

Ken Serey Ratha, the Director General of the General Department of Environmental Knowledge and Information, highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to this innovative project, which aligns with the Royal Government’s initiatives. The e-library is set to play a crucial role in sharing knowledge, modernizing institutions, and disseminating information about protected areas to students, the public, private sector, and researchers. It will serve as a long-term data collection hub for the Ministry of Environment.

An open call for collaboration has been extended to all institutions and partners, inviting the sharing of various data files such as images, documents, text messages, audio, and video. By pooling together these valuable resources, the e-library aims to compile, store, and disseminate knowledge for the betterment of all.

Expressing his delight and profound gratitude, Minister Samal commended the dedicated team behind the successful implementation of this e-library. While acknowledging its significance as an information center, he emphasized that the e-library is much more than just a repository of information. It is a transformative tool that will empower Cambodian society and its people to become global citizens equipped with creative life skills.

The launch of the Ministry of Environment’s e-library represents a significant milestone in Cambodia’s journey towards fostering environmental consciousness and a sustainable future. With this new digital platform, environmental awareness and education will become more accessible, enabling individuals to make informed decisions that prioritize the preservation of our precious natural resources.

Together, we can build a Better Cambodia, where environmental knowledge thrives, institutions prosper, and the collective wisdom of our shared ecosystem shapes a brighter tomorrow.
