The Second Wave of Innovation: UnipreneurCamp Cluster 2 Ignites Entrepreneurial Spirit Among Cambodia’s Youth

July 21, 2024, marked a momentous occasion for young entrepreneurs across Cambodia as Khmer Enterprise unfurled the second edition of its dynamic startup event – the UnipreneurCamp Cluster 2. The event emerged as a sequel to the trailblazing first cluster, which saw active participation from students spanning seven prominent universities. The momentum carried forward as an influx of 200 trailblazing student entrepreneurs converged at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) to indulge in an innovative three-day hackathon.

These bright, young minds represented an expanded consortium of nine revered educational institutions across the metropolis, including newly participating entities like BELTEI International University, Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, Cambodian Mekong University, Institute for International Studies and Public Policy, National University of Management, Royal University of Phnom Penh, Tux Global Institute, CAMED Business School, and Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia.

The event unfolded under the auspices of Chhieng Vanmunin, the dedicated CEO of Khmer Enterprise, who serves by delegation from the Royal Government of Cambodia. He highlighted the significance of innovation not only as a catalyst but as a harbinger for future creativity essential to the nurturing of human capital, a cornerstone of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy.

AUPP’s Vice-President, Kaknika Lin, echoed this visionary ethos, emphasizing the University’s relentless pursuit to instill an entrepreneurial spirit within its students. “Our commitment to being a cradle for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow is underscore.
