Phnom Penh — Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol met with Dr. Maxim Behar, a leading Bulgarian entrepreneur and President of the World Communications Forum based in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss strengthening economic cooperation and investment ties between the two countries.

The meeting, held at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), centered on Cambodia’s evolving business climate and the potential for deeper bilateral trade and investment.

Dr. Behar praised the Royal Government of Cambodia’s consistent efforts to attract foreign direct investment, noting that Cambodia’s economic reforms and pro-business environment have created significant opportunities for global investors. He said he would personally brief the Bulgarian Prime Minister on the promising investment prospects he observed during his visit.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, who also serves as First Vice President of the CDC, presented key government policies aimed at diversifying Cambodia’s economy, improving competitiveness, and fostering private sector growth.

Both sides expressed optimism that the meeting would pave the way for stronger collaboration in trade, business, and investment, contributing to the long-term prosperity of both Cambodia and Bulgaria.
