Cambodia’s international trade performance witnessed a strong upswing in 2025, with total trade value reaching $65.25 billion, reflecting an 18% year-on-year increase. The robust growth highlights the country’s expanding economic footprint and its continued integration into regional and global supply chains, despite ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties.
According to official data, Cambodia’s exports rose steadily, supported by strong demand for garments, footwear, travel goods, electrical equipment, and agricultural products. The garment, footwear, and travel goods sector remained the backbone of exports, accounting for nearly half of the country’s total outbound trade and reinforcing Cambodia’s reputation as a reliable manufacturing hub. Imports also increased significantly in 2025, driven by higher inflows of raw materials, machinery, fuel, and construction inputs to support domestic manufacturing and infrastructure development. Key trading partners such as China, the United States, Vietnam, and Thailand continued to play a crucial role in Cambodia’s trade ecosystem. Regional trade agreements, including the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), further enhanced market access and reduced tariff barriers.
