During his two-day official visit to the Philippines, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held separate meetings in Manila with delegations from three major Philippine companies, exploring potential investment opportunities in Cambodia.
In his courtesy call, Mr. Ramon S. Ang, President and CEO of San Miguel Corporation, expressed interest in investing in Cambodia’s infrastructure sector. He highlighted the Kingdom’s strong competitive advantages, including a skilled workforce, strategic location, and connectivity that positions Cambodia as a key gateway to regional and global markets.
Mr. Dai Jianlaing, President of Excellent Associates Group Limited, conveyed his company’s keen interest in industrial and agro-industrial parks, as well as rice processing and exports. He emphasized Cambodia’s reputation for producing high-quality rice, which has consistently won the World’s Best Rice award, making it a strong contender in international markets such as Hong Kong and China.
In a separate meeting, Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President and CEO of World Citi Group, discussed the company’s commitment to investing in Cambodia’s education and healthcare sectors. He welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between World Citi Group and the Asia-Europe University of Cambodia, a key highlight of the Philippines-Cambodia Business Forum. The Prime Minister praised this initiative, emphasizing Cambodia’s focus on developing health education and vocational training.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also briefed the business leaders on Cambodia’s key investment sectors, including agriculture, agro-industry, and healthcare. He reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to creating a supportive business environment by facilitating investment opportunities and ensuring the success of companies operating in the Kingdom.
