Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet is set to lead a significant delegation on an official visit to Lao PDR from March 25th to 26th, 2024, following an invitation from Laotian Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The delegation will include Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, alongside other ministers, key government officials, and representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, as stated in a press release revealed by Fresh News on March 21st.

During this diplomatic engagement, Prime Minister Hun Manet will conduct a courtesy visit to Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith and engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The primary focus will be on enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Additionally, both leaders will exchange views on sub-regional, regional, and international matters of mutual interest and concern. The visit will culminate in the signing of several important documents.

In addition to official engagements, Prime Minister Hun Manet is slated to meet with President of the Lao-Cambodian Friendship Association, Khambai Damlat, in a gesture highlighting the strong historical ties between the two nations. Furthermore, he will interact with members of the Cambodian Business Club and Cambodian students, fostering connections and opportunities for collaboration.

This visit serves to deepen the already robust bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Lao PDR, grounded in the principles of good neighborliness, traditional friendship, and a comprehensive, enduring strategic partnership. By strengthening these ties, both countries aim to create a solid foundation for mutual growth and prosperity, ultimately benefiting the people of both nations.
