Prime Minister Hun Manet extended a warm reception to Jones and his team, acknowledging the strong bilateral relations between Cambodia and the U.S., particularly in the context of governmental and private sector collaboration.
Hun Manet shed light on the Cambodian government’s strategies to encourage private investment, highlighting efforts to create a more inviting investment climate. This includes maintaining political stability, social order, and offering incentives to investors, alongside introducing innovative business models such as specialized economic zones tailored to different industries.
The Prime Minister underscored the crucial role of the private sector in driving economic and social progress and welcomed its involvement in national development efforts. He also encouraged Jim Jones to engage closely with Cambodian ministries, institutions, and other relevant parties to develop and execute plans that would enhance bilateral relations and investment opportunities in Cambodia.
