Chief (Cambodia) Commercial Bank Plc is pleased to announce a significant upgrade to its international remittance services, streamlining the process of cross-border transactions. This strategic enhancement utilizes the robust Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) network, ensuring that both inbound and outbound money transfers are not only more accessible but also secure and reliable for all users.

The International Outward Remittance service, a key feature of this expansion, allows Chief Bank customers to transfer funds directly to beneficiary accounts globally. Transactions are conducted in USD, maintaining a competitive commission rate of 0.15%, with a minimum charge of USD 20. Additionally, a standard cable fee of USD 15 is applied, with any modifications to the original transaction incurring a USD 30 fee. This service caters to the needs of both individuals and businesses who require a swift and secure method to manage their international monetary dealings.

To streamline this process, Chief Bank has introduced an Outward Remittance Application Form available for download on the bank’s official website. Customers can easily fill out this form and submit it at any Chief Bank branch to initiate the remittance procedure.

Furthermore, Chief Bank has enhanced its customer offering with the introduction of an International Inward Remittance service. This allows clients to receive funds from abroad directly into their accounts. Like the outward service, transactions are in USD and enjoy a low commission rate of 0.05%, with a minimal charge of USD 5 and no cable fee, providing a cost-effective solution for international transfers.

Clients wishing to use the Inward Remittance service must have an active account with Chief Bank. Essential information required for incoming fund transfers must be shared with the sender, ensuring a smooth transaction process.

Soeung Morarith, the Chief Executive Officer at Chief Bank, expressed his enthusiasm about the new capabilities. “Offering secure and efficient banking solutions that meet the global financial needs of our clients is our core focus,” he stated. Recognizing the SWIFT network’s global reliability, Morarith emphasized that the improved remittance services would simplify the complexities of cross-border financial transactions.

“Our aim is clear,” Morarith added, “by enhancing our international remittance services, we provide our customers the ability to manage their finances confidently and seamlessly, irrespective of geographical boundaries.”

Chief Bank is committed to augmenting customer satisfaction through constant innovation and a focus on security. Integration with the internationally acclaimed SWIFT system guarantees that each transaction adheres to the highest security protocols.
