Liger Leadership Academy Opens Its Doors to Fee-Paying Students

In a significant shift from its foundation roots, The Liger Leadership Academy (LLA) in Phnom Penh is extending its unique educational model to fee-paying students, starting August 2024. This marks the first time Liger is inviting external students to enroll, specifically targeting those eligible for Grade 7 or aged between 10 to 12 years.

The Liger curriculum, known for its remarkable success both within Cambodia and on an international scale, emphasizes leadership through project-based learning. This approach encourages students to engage directly with real-world issues, devising and executing practical solutions. The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport of Cambodia endorses the Liger curriculum, equating the Liger Diploma with Cambodia’s Grade 12 diploma, as per PRAKAS No. 1901 EYS.BK.

Liger boasts a strong track record of alumni achievements, with 62 out of 103 graduates securing placements in renowned universities across 10 countries, including the USA, Canada, and Japan, to name a few. Additionally, over 20 Liger alumni are pursuing higher education within Cambodia, highlighting the global and local relevance of the Liger educational experience.

For its inaugural year of open enrollment, Liger is offering an incentive by waiving both the registration and application fees. The tuition is set at USD 13,500, accompanied by a USD 1,500 capital fee, with the promise of a fixed tuition rate until graduation for early enrollees.

Interested families can apply online at www.ligeracademy.org or inquire further by contacting Liger at 099 555 883 (for Khmer speakers) or 096 855 6068 (for English speakers). Additionally, a special information and enrollment event is scheduled for March 2, from 18:00 to 20:30, at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh.

With limited slots available for the August 2024 intake, prospective students and their families are encouraged to act swiftly to secure their place in this innovative educational journey.
