Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Tens of thousands of Cambodians from various backgrounds gathered yesterday at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh for a powerful Solidarity March. This event, organized by the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), aims to show unwavering support for the Royal Government’s efforts in resolving border issues and to express solidarity with the frontline troops safeguarding Cambodia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Solidarity March began at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre, with participants marching towards the Independence Monument, where a grand ceremony was held. The event attracted people from all corners of Cambodia, including youth, civil society members, veterans, and supporters of the Royal Government’s peace efforts.
Before the march kicked off, powerful messages from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet were broadcast on large screens, reinforcing the importance of unity and diplomacy in Cambodia’s ongoing border resolution efforts. In his speech at the closing ceremony of the Cambodia Scouts’ Extraordinary Congress, Prime Minister Hun Manet underscored the significance of the march in showcasing Cambodia’s strong unity. “This march symbolizes the solidarity between the Cambodian people and our military forces, who are courageously defending our borders and ensuring the protection of our sovereignty,” the Prime Minister stated.
