Acteus Group’s Charitable Contribution to Angkor Hospital for Children through Acteus Smiles Initiative

by TBC

In a significant philanthropic effort to support pediatric care, the Acteus Group took a critical step forward by contributing essential medical equipment to the Angkor Hospital for Children. This charitable act was conducted under the “Acteus Smiles” initiative, an endeavor firmly rooted in the organization’s mission to have a tangible impact on the communities within which it operates, particularly in enhancing healthcare outcomes for the underprivileged sectors of society.

The event marked a collaboration between prominent figures in the attempt to strengthen healthcare support for children in need. Parit Chutharattanakul, the General Manager of Acteus Cambodia, led the contribution effort, working hand-in-hand with Ngeth Pises, MD, DCH, FAAP, the Deputy Hospital Director of Angkor Hospital for Children. This partnership aimed to ensure that the hospital received the needed equipment to improve the provision of medical care to its young patients, many of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The donation by the Acteus Group comes at a critical time, addressing a gap in pediatric care capabilities within the region. By providing state-of-the-art medical equipment, the initiative is set to bolster the capacity of the Angkor Hospital for Children to offer enhanced care services, directly contributing to the welfare and health of numerous children in Siem Reap and its surroundings.

Expressing his appreciation for the donation, Dr. Ngeth Pises emphasized the considerable impact that this contribution would have on the hospital’s operations. The added resources will empower the medical professionals at the hospital to deliver comprehensive and effective care, thereby transforming the lives of many children and their families. The mutual respect and value between the hospital and the Acteus Group were evident, building a foundation for continued partnership and support.

Highlighting the motive and goal behind such initiatives, Parit Chutharattanakul reflected on the broader implications of the Acteus Smiles project. He stated that the endeavor not only aims to improve healthcare outcomes but also to contribute positively to the societal development of Siem Reap. This approach reflects a holistic view of philanthropy, where health and well-being are seen as crucial elements in the broader context of community development and support.

Since its inception in 2019, the Acteus Smiles initiative has been a conduit through which Acteus Group has channeled its commitment to enhance the lives of underprivileged children and empower women within the communities it serves. The program meticulously addresses the critical needs of these groups, advocating for women’s rights, improving access to education, and enhancing healthcare availability. The initiative is designed not only as a means of providing immediate support but also as a strategy to foster long-term improvement in the quality of life and opportunities available to women and children in Cambodia.

Through actions such as the donation to the Angkor Hospital for Children, the Acteus Group exemplifies a corporate ethos that prioritizes corporate social responsibility and community involvement. By directly addressing some of the most pressing needs within these communities, such as healthcare for children, the company sets a commendable example of using its resources and influence to drive positive change. The Acteus Smiles initiative reflects a dedication to making a significant and lasting difference, ensuring that underprivileged communities can look toward a future with improved health, welfare, and equal opportunities.
