The event in focus was the Official Opening Ceremony of the “Training Course on the Application for the Permit in the National Single Window of Cambodia (NSW) Phase 3,” dedicated to Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations. This initiative, undertaken by the Ministry, witnessed collaboration with a representative from the Secretariat of the Cambodia National Single Window Steering Committee alongside a representative from GUUD International Company.
The main goal of this training course was to acquaint participants from diplomatic missions and international bodies with the operational intricacies of the NSW Phase 3. Attendees were guided through hands-on sessions on how to proficiently manage the permit processes for importing and exporting goods using the newly introduced digital system. This participating phase is indicative of Cambodia’s commitment to streamlining the efficiency of its trade mechanisms and enhancing the ease of doing business in the country.
The NSW system is pivotal to Cambodia’s strategic efforts toward economic modernization, offering a streamlined, digital solution for trade-related permits. By transitioning to this digital platform, the country aims to bolster international trade, reduce bureaucratic red tape, and foster economic growth by simplifying and expediting the import and export procedures.
Moreover, this training course signifies Cambodia’s dedication to engaging with international partners and organizations transparently and effectively. It highlights the Ministry’s effort to ensure that the diplomatic community is well informed and equipped to utilize the NSW, thereby, directly supporting the smooth facilitation of international trade.
As this digital system, NSW Phase 3, heads towards its official implementation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s directive, it heralds a new era for Cambodia’s economic diplomacy. By embracing such technological advancements, Cambodia not only caters to its domestic needs but also aligns itself with global trade facilitation standards, thereby playing a crucial role in regional and international economic landscapes.
