Phnom Penh, July 2025 — Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with the visiting Minister of State for External Affairs of India, H.E. Pabitra Margherita, in Phnom Penh on Monday afternoon to reaffirm the enduring friendship and commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
During the cordial meeting, H.E. Pabitra Margherita conveyed warm greetings from the Government of India and praised the long-standing, multifaceted relationship that Cambodia and India have nurtured over decades. He reaffirmed India’s dedication to expanding these ties across a broad range of sectors to promote shared growth, stability, and prosperity.
“India deeply values its historic and cultural connection with Cambodia. We are committed to working hand-in-hand to explore new frontiers of cooperation and strengthen existing partnerships,” stated Minister Margherita.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended a warm welcome to the Indian delegation and expressed appreciation for India’s consistent support and engagement in Cambodia’s development. He emphasized Cambodia’s readiness to build upon the strong foundation of friendship and advance practical collaboration with India in key sectors.
Both sides exchanged views on regional and global developments, and identified specific areas for enhanced cooperation. They expressed mutual interest in expanding trade and investment flows, strengthening financial partnerships, and bolstering collaboration in defense and security. Additionally, the leaders agreed to deepen cooperation in culture and education, promote people-to-people exchanges, and enhance ties in the health, tourism, aviation, and textile sectors.
The meeting underscored the growing momentum in Cambodia–India relations and reaffirmed the shared aspiration to elevate the bilateral partnership to new heights in the years ahead.
