The Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chair of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), H.E. Sun Chanthol, received the newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, for a meeting aimed at deepening trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting took place on March 26 at the CDC headquarters in Phnom Penh. Ambassador Bawitlung expressed his deep appreciation for the longstanding diplomatic relations between Cambodia and India and affirmed his commitment to elevating bilateral cooperation to new heights.
Recognising the potential for expanded collaboration, H.E. Sun Chanthol encouraged greater engagement in key sectors such as information and digital technology, electronics, and food processing. He expressed strong confidence that under Ambassador Bawitlung’s tenure, the partnership between the two countries would see continued growth and diversification.
The discussion also included the potential organisation of an investment roadshow in India, aimed at promoting Cambodia’s investment opportunities to Indian businesses and investors.
