Cambodia has officially launched new digital vaccination and health data management systems aimed at modernizing healthcare records and improving access to medical information across the country. The initiative forms part of the government’s broader digital transformation agenda in the healthcare sector and is expected to enhance vaccination tracking and health facility monitoring nationwide.
The systems were introduced during a national launch event attended by officials from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, with more than 3,300 participants joining both physically and virtually.
Key Digital Systems Introduced
Two major platforms were launched as part of the program:
1. Health Facility Management Information System (HFMIS)
The Health Facility Management Information System provides a nationwide digital directory of medical facilities.
Key functions include:
- Mapping the location of private health facilities across Cambodia
- Displaying facility types and services available
- Providing details about healthcare staff and infrastructure
- Verifying the validity of medical licenses
- Linking facility data with Google Maps for easier access
The system is designed to provide updated information on healthcare providers while supporting regulatory monitoring and compliance checks.
2. Electronic Immunization Registry (EIR)
The Electronic Immunization Registry focuses on digital vaccination tracking.
Core capabilities include:
- Creating digital vaccination accounts for citizens
- Recording immunization history for infants, children, and adults
- Tracking upcoming vaccination schedules
- Automatically verifying vaccination records
- Generating monthly vaccination data reports
The registry replaces traditional paper-based vaccination records with a centralized digital system accessible by healthcare providers.
Implementation Across the Healthcare Network
The Electronic Immunization Registry has already been deployed across multiple healthcare institutions nationwide.
Current implementation highlights:
- Implemented at 1,443 health facilities
- Used by 2,654 healthcare workers
- Registered over 174,000 citizens
- Recorded more than 1.1 million vaccination entries
The registry tracks routine immunizations for infants, HPV vaccinations for young girls, tetanus and diphtheria vaccines for women, and other vaccines including COVID-19 immunizations.
Citizens can also check vaccination histories through MyHealth, a mini-application integrated into the country’s DGSuperApp platform.

The new systems evolved from the vaccine.gov.kh portal, which was originally introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic to manage vaccine registrations and records.
Authorities stated that the success of the earlier digital vaccination portal encouraged the government to expand the system into a comprehensive national immunization database.
