(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Minister of Tourism, H.E. Huot Hak, has urged All Nippon Airways (ANA) to reinstate direct flight services between Japan and Cambodia, highlighting the growing demand for connectivity and the Kingdom’s tourism potential.
The request was made during a bilateral meeting with ANA representative Mr. Eiji Yamakita, held on the sidelines of the Japan Tourism Expo 2025 and the Tourism Ministers’ Roundtable Meeting in Nagoya.
Minister Huot Hak expressed deep appreciation for ANA’s longstanding role in promoting Cambodia’s tourism industry, noting the airline’s contribution in bringing Japanese and international visitors to the Kingdom.
He underscored several factors supporting the route’s resumption, including Cambodia’s strong tourism prospects, its peace and stability, and the enhanced capabilities of the newly inaugurated Techo International Airport.
According to the Minister, restoring direct air links would further boost tourism flows, strengthen bilateral ties, and provide travelers with greater convenience when visiting Cambodia.
