The Cambodian Ministry of Environment, All Dreams Cambodia, and Teuk Saat 1001 recently organized a press conference on March 22nd, 2023, to promote responsible and conscious travel in Cambodia. The event was held to encourage the tourism industry in Cambodia to become more sustainable and join the fight against climate change.

During the conference, All Dreams Cambodia highlighted its efforts to calculate, reduce, and compensate for its carbon footprint and that of its clients. The company is working to create a more sustainable tourism industry in Cambodia by advocating for responsible behavior and sustainable practices among its staff, partners, suppliers, and guests.

As part of its sustainability endeavors, All Dreams Cambodia has joined hands with partners like Teuk Saat 1001 to compensate for its carbon footprint by purchasing carbon credits from Teuk Saat 1001’s water kiosk project. Teuk Saat 1001’s mission is to improve the health and livelihoods of rural communities by providing safe and affordable drinking water through its water kiosks. The organization has been successfully reducing carbon emissions by around 17,000t annually since 2005.

The conference also recognized the achievements made by Teuk Saat 1001 in promoting access to safe drinking water in rural Cambodia. The NGO has been successful in reducing carbon emissions by providing access to safe drinking water, eliminating the need for communities to boil water with charcoal or wood for consumption.

Teuk Saat 1001’s carbon credits project has been globally recognized since 2017, making it one of the few organizations to achieve this feat in Cambodia. The partnership between All Dreams Cambodia and Teuk Saat 1001 demonstrates a shared commitment to promoting sustainable tourism and environmental conservation in Cambodia.

The press conference was held on World Water Day, highlighting the significance of promoting access to safe drinking water and sustainability in the tourism industry. All Dreams Cambodia and Teuk Saat 1001’s efforts are contributing to a better future for Cambodia and its rural communities.
