SIEM REAP — In a major push to stimulate domestic and international travel during the monsoon period, Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism has announced the “2026 Siem Reap Tourism Service Mega Sale.” Officially launching on August 1, 2026, the promotional campaign allows travelers to save between 10% and 50% on various hospitality and travel services across the province.
The pilot initiative is being rolled out in partnership with key regional bodies, including the Siem Reap Chapter of the Cambodia Hotel Association, the Siem Reap Tourism Club Association, and participating local operators.
Exclusive Discounts Across Hospitality and Travel Services
Under the campaign, national and international visitors booking trips to Siem Reap can access promotional rates on services offered by participating three-star, four-star, and five-star establishments.
Key Highlights of the Campaign:
- Promotional Savings: Discounts ranging from 10% to 50% on participating hotels, resorts, and local tourism services.
- Direct Booking Portal: Travelers can browse and book eligible Green Season packages online through the official portal at www.cambodiawonder.com.
- Target Window: Designed to drive visits during the traditional “Green Season” (May to October), characterized by lush natural scenery, fuller moats surrounding the Angkor temples, and smaller crowds.
Addressing Arrival Shortfalls at Angkor Park
The promotional campaign comes at a critical time for Siem Reap’s tourism sector. Data indicates that the Angkor Archaeological Park welcomed 387,772 international visitors during the first half of 2026—representing a 31% decrease compared to the same period in 2025.
By positioning the rainy season as a high-value travel window with substantial price reductions, the Ministry of Tourism aims to offset seasonal declines, build year-round visitor momentum, and support local business operators.
