The Ministry of Information and The Better Cambodia have agreed to explore four areas of potential cooperation: support for the platform’s activities, legal access to state media content, tourism promotion and joint human resources development.
Leadership Meets the Minister of Information
Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra outlined the four areas during a courtesy call by The Better Cambodia founder Surya Narayan and co-founder Dhanita Nair at the ministry on Tuesday. The meeting marks an early step in building a working relationship between the platform and the ministry.

Area One: Support for Platform Activities
The minister said the ministry would support The Better Cambodia’s activities. The backing gives the platform a stronger footing as it grows its Cambodia-focused coverage.
Area Two: Legal Access to State Media Content
The ministry will help The Better Cambodia legally use photos, videos and articles produced by state media agencies, including Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP) and National Television of Cambodia (TVK). He advised the platform to work with AKP and TVK through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a formal framework for using state-produced content.
Area Three: Tourism Promotion
Tourism promotion (My Travel Factory) is the third area on the list. Official media content could help the platform show Cambodia’s culture, heritage and destinations to a wider audience once the usage framework is in place.
Planning a trip to Cambodia?
Those who are looking for travel planning support can explore My Travel Factory, an online travel resource that helps travellers research and organise their journeys. Whether you are mapping out your first visit to Angkor Wat or exploring other destinations across Southeast Asia, it is a useful place to start your planning.
Area Four: Joint Human Resources Development
Pheaktra said the ministry could facilitate training involving Indian institutions for ministry officials and journalists. He pointed to earlier cooperation with Indian institutions, including scholarship and training programmes for ministry officials, and encouraged the platform to propose projects that could benefit the ministry.

What Happens Next
Both sides agreed to keep communicating and to develop specific initiatives under the four areas, including formalising agreements where necessary. The Better Cambodia will share updates as these plans move forward.
