The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) have formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing trade, investment, and economic ties between Cambodia and the state of Victoria in Australia.
This landmark agreement was signed in Melbourne, Australia, in the presence of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. The signing ceremony was part of the broader engagements around the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit, which also celebrated five decades of dialogue relations between ASEAN countries and Australia.
The MoU outlines a framework for CCC and VCCI to share trade and investment information, respecting confidentiality agreements, and to establish referral systems to assist members from both organizations in exploring and expanding business opportunities across borders.
In addition to facilitating the exchange of economic insights, the agreement includes provisions for both chambers to support trade and investment delegations organized by either party. They will also promote each other’s trade fairs and special events, offering a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services to new markets.
The collaboration is set to involve regular exchanges of ideas and information to continuously enhance the partnership, all within the bounds of confidentiality. This MoU represents a strategic effort by both chambers to foster a supportive environment for businesses, encouraging cross-border economic activities and contributing to the growth and diversification of their respective economies.
