What began as a neighborhood money transfer service now moves tens of billions of dollars annually, serves millions through its agent network, and continues to expand access with global recognition—bringing yet another source of pride to Cambodia.
Seventeen years ago, Wing entered everyday Cambodian life with a simple promise: send money easily, safely, fast and close to home. Launched as Cambodia’s first mobile money business, Wing’s agent-led, phone-first model met people where they lived—markets, villages, factory gates—well before “digital finance” became a buzzword.

Ownership passed into Cambodian hands in 2011, setting the stage for a locally led transformation that leaned hard into agent banking and practical mobile use cases. Today, Wing is a 100% Cambodian-owned commercial bank—Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc—with nationwide reach and a vision to ensure no Cambodian is left out of the financial system.
From Neighborhood Service to Commercial Bank
Wing’s early success in domestic and international money transfers proved there was a hunger for inclusive, accessible finance. Recognizing this need, Wing evolved into a specialized bank in 2014, and later into a full commercial bank in 2020, unlocking the ability to serve a wider array of full suite financial needs.
“Wing was born on Cambodia’s streets and shopfronts—our job has always been to bring banking to people’s lives, not the other way around.” – CEO of Wing bank, Dr. Dmytro Kolechko
This evolution has been about more than business—it’s about closing the gaps in banking services for everyday Cambodians and creating pathways to financial literacy and inclusion.
BUILT DIFFERENT: MOBILE FIRST, AGENT POWERED, WOMEN LED
Thanks to the widespread presence of Wing Cash Xpress Agents in every nook and corner of the country, Wing has successfully connected the dots—bringing convenient access to financial and banking services to all Cambodians, including those living in remote villages. Remarkably, 80% of these agents are women working from home, helping their neighbors solve financial challenges. This creates a dual benefit: empowering housewives with income opportunities to support their families, while also providing trusted financial solutions to communities in need.

“Our agents are community builders. When a woman opens an agent kiosk, she doesn’t just earn—she connects her entire neighborhood to the economy,” DCEO of Wing Bank, Bunthe Hor.
Today, Wing Bank operates nearly 30 branches nationwide, supported by over 12,000 Wing Cash Xpress Agents and more than 100 Wing Master Agents. Thanks to the trust of our customers, the bank now holds nearly USD 3 billion in deposits and serves over 9.5 million account holders. The Wing Bank App helps resolve more than 100 common customer issues, making banking more convenient and accessible than ever—a testament to how digital and physical banking channels can grow hand-in-hand.
AWARD-WINNING IDEAS THAT CLOSE REAL GAPS
Wing Bank’s north star is simple: to deliver innovative financial services for every Cambodian, backed by financial literacy and inclusion. This focus has led to the creation of products that are earning both global recognition and the loyalty of daily users. Below are just a few of the recognitions Wing Bank has received these few years.

The bank has demonstrated its industry leadership, earning Best Social Impact Bank and the Cashless Leadership Award 2024 from Capital Finance International (CFI.co)—recognition that Wing Bank’s position as a trailblazer in inclusive, tech-driven banking.
Thanks to its efforts in digital innovation, Wing Bank introduced the Mastercard One Card—a card that combines both credit and debit functions in one. Earlier this year, the card earned three prestigious awards from Mastercard: Leadership in Debit Volume 2024, Leadership in Cross-Border Volume 2024, and Innovation Breakthrough 2024.
Aiming to support those in need of emergency funds—whether for medical bills, school fees, or business expansion, Wing Bank introduced the Wing Digital Loan, allowing users to request loans directly through the Wing Bank App. This innovation reduces the need for physical branch visits and paperwork. For those looking to plan their finances for future needs, Wing Bank launched the “Save for Gold” feature, enabling users to contribute to their savings daily or anytime until they reach their target amount. Wing Bank helps accelerate their financial goals by offering interest on their savings. These two solutions earned Wing Bank dual recognition from Global Brands Magazine Awards in 2025.
Wingagri, an integral part of Wing Bank’s ecosystem, was honored with the Private Sector of the Year award at the 10th Annual Cambodia Digital Awards 2024. By enabling seamless transactions, product showcasing, and buyer-seller interactions, Wingagri bridges critical gaps in the agricultural sector—offering farmers access to affordable loans, market connections, and advanced analytical insights. These capabilities not only help smallholder farmers grow their businesses but also propel Cambodia’s agricultural sector into the digital age, making it more sustainable, competitive, and resilient.
In 2025, Wing Bank changed the way banking is done yet again with the launch of Free Cash Out. For the first time, customers could withdraw funds from their Wing Bank account at any Wing gent or ATM without paying a single riel in fees—an unprecedented move in Cambodia’s banking industry. By removing one of the last cost barriers to accessing cash, Free Cash Out gave customers even more control over their money, encouraging both digital account usage and financial trust.

“Free Cash Out is about fairness,” says Dr. Dmytro Kolechko. “If your money is in the bank, you should be able to get it—anytime, anywhere—without it costing you more to do so.”

Wing Bank is expanding its impact through strategic partnerships that deliver more services, greater value, and broader opportunities to Cambodians. In 2025, the bank secured several key collaborations that simplify everyday life and open new doors for its customers:

Wing Bank’s commitment to innovation extends far beyond traditional finance. Through its ventures in e-commerce, agriculture, and digital platforms, the bank is creating new pathways for businesses and communities across Cambodia to thrive.
