On Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, a government delegation led by H.E. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, H.E. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, and H.E. Kao Tach, CEO of the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), visited Primalis Corporation Ltd., one of Cambodia’s largest rice millers and exporters.

Established in 2013 by a Cambodian entrepreneurial family, Primalis now exports Cambodian rice to over 20 countries, including China, the Philippines, Indonesia, France, and Canada.

During the visit, on the first year anniversary of the new Cambodian Government, the delegation received a comprehensive tour of the facilities, showcasing the company’s capabilities.

Primalis boasts a drying capacity of up to 1,200 tons per day and a production capacity of 1,500 tons per day. The delegation also observed the latest German machinery from Buhler and automated robots in action, highlighting the technological advancements at Primalis.

The ministerial delegation visit continued around the modern facilities, established on over 70 Hectares in National Road 51, in Kampong Speu.

The discussions between Government and Primalis have highlighted the importance to continue to grow Cambodia’s pure seeds of Pkha Rumduol and Seng Kro Ob variety, which have already gained popularity in overseas markets.

Primalis processes and exports various Cambodian rice varieties, specializing in Jasmine rice (Pkha Rumduol), Fragrant rice (Sen Kro Ob, Sra Ngnear), and White rice.

Ms Vith Sokchea, Export Sales Representative commented : “Primalis is committed to continue supporting the Government in the development of the Cambodian rice on the international stage and to further collaborate with the public sector to establish the recognition of the Cambodian Rice as a high quality brand, globally, over the years to come.”
