Promoting Collaboration and Gender-Balanced Leadership: India’s Women Entrepreneurs Embrace Cambodia Delegation

by Surya Narayan

Credai Chennai, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India, is set to make a mark in fostering collaborations and promoting gender-balanced leadership. A delegation of eight women entrepreneurs from Credai Chennai will be part of a women’s delegation to Cambodia, where they will engage with counterparts from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA). This initiative, facilitated by the Consulate of Cambodia, aims to strengthen ties between India and Cambodia and bridge gender gaps in leadership.

From August 26 to 29, a total of 55 women entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, including agro, manufacturing, edutech, cybersecurity, and healthcare, will converge in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This gathering presents a unique opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations, and learn from Cambodia’s impressive accomplishments in promoting women in business. With Cambodia boasting a remarkable 61 percent representation of women in business, there is much to gain from this delegation.

S Sivagurunathan, President of Credai Chennai, expressed his delight in showcasing the association’s dedication to fostering gender-balanced leadership and nurturing women entrepreneurs. By participating in this delegation, Credai Chennai exemplifies their belief in the power of collaboration to drive positive change. This commitment is in line with their vision of supporting women entrepreneurs and creating a more inclusive business environment.

The delegation’s main objective is to foster collaborations between India and Cambodia by establishing connections with the CCC and CWEA. Through these engagements, the entrepreneurs seek to explore mutual business opportunities and build strong relationships. With representatives from diverse sectors, the potential for collaborations spans a wide range of industries, from agriculture to technology. This diversity contributes to the richness and synergy that can arise from cross-sector partnerships.

This delegation to Cambodia not only serves as a platform for networking and collaboration but also acts as an inspiration for women entrepreneurs in India. By learning from Cambodia’s success in fostering gender equality in business, these entrepreneurs hope to apply similar strategies in their own organizations. As they engage with their counterparts, they aim to gather valuable insights and innovative approaches to leadership that can be implemented back home.

Credai Chennai’s participation in this delegation is a testament to their commitment to nurturing women entrepreneurs and promoting gender equality in the real estate industry. By actively supporting initiatives that empower women, Credai Chennai sets an example for the larger business community, encouraging more women to take on leadership roles and drive positive change.

As the delegation embarks on this exciting journey, it is hoped that their efforts will pave the way for stronger partnerships, collaborations, and knowledge exchange between India and Cambodia. By bridging the gender gaps in leadership and fostering collaboration, Credai Chennai aims to contribute to the growth and development of both nations, creating a more diverse and inclusive business landscape.

Ultimately, this delegation represents a step forward in creating a world where women entrepreneurs are empowered, collaborations flourish, and gender equality becomes a reality.
