In a landmark initiative for Cambodia, the Cambodia Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) has introduced the Cambodia Mine Action Management Information System, a pioneering venture set to redefine the approach towards mine clearance and victim assistance in the country. This innovative system is launched as Cambodia prepares to host the fifth Review Conference in Siem Reap, which will see participation from 164 countries.
The Cambodia Mine Action Management Information System is poised to address the longstanding challenges of data management and operational efficacy in mine action efforts. It is designed to optimize the processes involved in mine clearance, providing aid to victims, and releasing land back to the community, thereby marking a significant step forward in Cambodia’s quest to eliminate the remnants of conflict from its soil.

Ly Thuch, the Senior Minister and First Vice President of the CMAA, emphasized the transformative impact of the Cambodia Mine Action Management Information System. “This system marks the dawn of a new era in our committed journey towards a mine-free Cambodia.
