The Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Network (CamWEN) and the Women’s Business Council Philippines (WomenBizPH) today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to advance women’s entrepreneurship, cultural heritage preservation, and economic empowerment across ASEAN.
The MOU signing, held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia during the State Visit of His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the President of the Republic of the Philippines, was presided over by Dr. Lct. Eng Lykuong, Chairperson of CamWEN, and Ms. Rosemarie P. Rafael, Chairperson of WomenBizPH. The ceremony was also attended by distinguished business leaders and government officials from both countries.
The partnership will focus on joint initiatives, including the ASEAN Amazing Weaves Competition 2026, which will promote indigenous weaving, creativity, and sustainable livelihoods aligned with the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026. APDEC (Amazing Philippines Digital Economic Corporation) will support the digital platform and marketing for cross-border engagement.
“This collaboration strengthens the bridge between Cambodian and Filipino women entrepreneurs, showcasing how creativity and innovation can drive sustainable development,” said Madam Eng Lykuong.
The signing demonstrates the growing cooperation between Cambodia and the Philippines, as both nations work hand-in-hand to expand opportunities for women-led enterprises and foster deeper regional collaboration.
