Khmer Enterprise has recently entered into a significant collaboration with MAKRO Cambodia aimed at lifting the profile of locally produced goods through the organization of the Local Love Fair.

The initiative, which builds upon the achievements of prior years, is focused on the exposure and promotion of local enterprises by providing a platform for a wide array of Cambodian products. From groceries, daily necessities, to fresh produce, dairy, rice, and unique souvenirs, these items will be featured prominently for a two-week period between July 16 and July 31, 2024, across MAKRO’s locations in Sen Sok, Siem Reap, and Chroy Changva. This event, enhanced through the support of Khmer Enterprise, promises attendees not only access to an extensive assortment of products derived from local sourcing but also the opportunity to secure a prize.

Chhieng Vanmunin, who serves as a delegate to the Royal Government and CEO of Khmer Enterprise, expressed that partnering with MAKRO Cambodia is a critical move towards introducing local creations to a broader audience. He underscored this collaboration as integral to the Cambodian government’s efforts to uplift domestic products and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by propelling local brands onto the global stage. This, according to Vanmunin, demonstrates Khmer Enterprise’s vital role in driving forward such an essential agenda.

Anatta Thalangdee, the Managing Director of MAKRO Cambodia, shared their commitment to nurturing reciprocal relationships with local vendors to bolster the community while simultaneously enhancing supplier performance. The aim is to prioritize the procurement of local goods, boost productivity, and ensure a commitment to quality, reliability, and the establishment of a sustainable supply chain. To date, the partnership has developed collaborations with 54 suppliers for fresh food and 15 for dry goods across 17 provinces in Cambodia.

The Local Love Fair stands as a symbol of the collective commitment by Khmer Enterprise and MAKRO Cambodia to promote eco-friendly practices, strengthen local SMEs, and foster a deeper connection between consumers and the vibrant landscape of Cambodian commerce. In this light, everyone is warmly invited to partake in the celebration and support of local craftsmanship and enterprises by visiting the Local Love Fair.
