Sangho Jo, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics for Southeast Asia and Oceania, led a delegation that visited Cambodia in search of new business and investment prospects as well as collaboration on trade promotion.
Recently, the team paid a courtesy visit to Pan Sorasak, the Cambodian minister of commerce.
The Minister gave the delegation a briefing on the Royal Government’s efforts to improve the business environment in the country and speed up the post-Covid-19 crisis economic recovery.
Pan Sorasak also underlined Cambodia’s willingness to implement the Cambodia-South Korea Free Trade Agreement and urged the Korean side to accelerate approval for mutual benefit through the Samsung company.
Additionally, he emphasized Cambodia’s support for South Korea’s Busan’s bid to host the World Expo in 2030.
Mr. Sangho Jo, who is a representative of Thai Samsung Electronics, praised the rapid development of Cambodia and gave the minister information on the history, operations, and charitable endeavors of Samsung Cambodia.
The Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) would get the Samsung Innovative Campus program, according to Mr. Sangho Jo, who also invited Pan Sorasak to serve as the event’s chief guest.
