Wing Bank proudly announces its continued leadership in digital payment security with the successful renewal and upgrade of its Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification to version 4.0.1.
This achievement builds on Wing Bank’s consistent compliance with PCI DSS standards since 2023, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to protecting customer data and ensuring secure online transactions.
“Wing Bank’s exceptional commitment to data security and adherence to global standards has earned them the well-deserved PCI DSS certification,” said Mukesh H Khanwani, SISA’s Senior Director, Sales for Southeast Asia. “By meeting the stringent requirements of the PCI DSS framework, Wing Bank has demonstrated a strong focus on maintaining a secure card environment and safeguarding customer trust.”
Wing Bank’s certification was awarded following an independent assessment conducted by SISA, a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and a globally recognized leader in cybersecurity solutions for the digital payment industry. After a rigorous review of Wing Bank’s data security practices, controls, and infrastructure, the comprehensive evaluation confirms that Wing Bank continues to meet the stringent requirements set forth by PCI DSS.
“This certification upgrade is more than a technical milestone—it reflects Wing Bank’s strategic vision to lead Cambodia’s digital banking future with integrity and trust. As we continue to grow, our customers can be confident that their data is protected by world-class security standards,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank.
The PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification, effective June 30, 2025, confirms Wing Bank’s full compliance with all 12 core requirements and associated sections of the globally recognized framework. This milestone significantly enhances the bank’s ability to defend against fraud and card information breaches, providing customers with robust protection and confidence in every transaction.
“This achievement reflects Wing Bank’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of data protection and cybersecurity,” said Soksophay Lim, Chief Technology Officer of Wing Bank. “We are proud to be recognized for our efforts in creating a secure and trustworthy digital banking environment for our customers.”
The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) was established in 2006 by leading global payment brands – American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard, and Visa Inc. – to oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of the PCI DSS. Its mission is to enhance payment card data security and promote consistent standards across the industry.
“We commend Wing Bank for achieving PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification,” added Mukesh H Khanwani. “Their dedication to implementing robust security controls and protecting cardholder data exemplifies the kind of leadership and commitment we aim to foster across the global payments ecosystem.”
Wing Bank continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies and best practices to ensure the safety and integrity of its digital infrastructure, reinforcing its position as a trusted leader in Cambodia’s financial sector.
