The Cambodia Baby Olympics will be held on February 1, 2026. The event will take place at AEON Mall Mean Chey in Phnom Penh. It aims to introduce young children to sports and physical activity.
The event is organised by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia. More than 300 children are expected to take part. The children will be between one and seven years old.
Each child can join up to three activities. These are chosen from ten sports made for different age groups. The activities focus on simple movement, balance, and coordination. They are safe and easy for young children.
The Baby Olympics is not a competition. There are no winners. There are no rankings. The goal is participation and enjoyment.
Parents and family members are encouraged to attend. They can support their children and watch them take part. The event helps families understand their children’s interest in physical activity.
The programme will include an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony. A symbolic torch relay is also planned. These elements introduce children to the Olympic spirit in a simple way.
Every child will receive a medal. The medal recognises effort and participation. It is meant to build confidence and motivation.
Organisers said physical activity at a young age helps children build healthy habits. It also supports physical and mental development. Early exposure to sports may encourage long-term involvement.
