The MOU was signed by Surya Narayan, the Founder and CEO of The Better Cambodia, and witnessed by H.E. Samheng Boros, the Honorary President of The Better Cambodia.

Media Career Highlights of Jake Sanders

Jake Sanders brings a wealth of experience to this partnership. His illustrious career includes coordinating the launch of ELLE Magazine in China on behalf of Hachette Media Group, the largest media company in France. He set up the first International Beer Festival at Windows of the World in Shenzhen in 1997, an event that continued successfully until 2020. Sanders was awarded the Golden Microphone in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1997 for his outstanding work in broadcasting. He served as the Associate Editor of Asia Times News in Hong Kong from 2015 to 2020.

Sanders also played a pivotal role in establishing sales networks for a radio broadcasting company owned by Hachette Group in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing. He implemented the setup of a national marketing and sales network for Clear Channel Communications, the world’s largest outdoor media company, establishing an outdoor media network in over 40 cities across China from 1999 to 2003.

From 2003 to 2016, Sanders held various government and diplomatic roles, advising on media, trade, and security issues across the Asia-Pacific region. Notably, he served as the Senior International Adviser to the CEO of Nice TV Cambodia, a TV broadcaster based within the Ministry of Interior, from 2017 to 2020. Currently, Sanders is the CEO of four regional news platforms: Philippines Zamboanga Peninsula Journal, World Security News, Pacific Islands News, and Solomon Asia Pacific News. He is also a Knight Commander of the Sovereign Military Order of the Celtic Cross.

A New Era of Positive News and Collaboration

The signing of the MOU marks a significant milestone for The Better Cambodia, as it aims to spread positive news about Cambodia to a broader audience. By reaching out to the Pacific Islands, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, TBC Media will highlight Cambodia’s rich culture, economic potential, and future plans. This initiative is expected to boost bilateral trade, tourism, and other forms of collaboration between Cambodia and these regions.

H.E. Samheng Boros, the Honorary President of The Better Cambodia, was present at the signing ceremony. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in enhancing Cambodia’s image and strengthening international relations. “Cambodia has immense potential and a bright future ahead. By sharing our achievements and aspirations with a wider audience, we can attract more investment, tourism, and partnerships that will benefit our people and our economy,” said H.E. Samheng Boros.

Surya Narayan expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This is a great opportunity for Cambodia to share its story with the world. Our partnership with Jake Sanders will ensure that the positive developments in Cambodia are showcased on a global stage, fostering goodwill and cooperation with our neighbors.”

Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Tourism

The dissemination of Cambodian news across the Pacific Islands, the Philippines, and Hong Kong is expected to create numerous opportunities for bilateral trade and tourism. With increased media coverage, businesses and tourists in these regions will become more aware of the opportunities and attractions Cambodia has to offer. This awareness can lead to a surge in tourism, boosting the local economy and creating jobs.

Furthermore, the enhanced media presence will pave the way for stronger trade relations. Businesses in the Pacific Islands, the Philippines, and Hong Kong will be more likely to explore trade opportunities with Cambodian companies, leading to mutually beneficial partnerships. The increased visibility of Cambodia’s economic potential can attract foreign direct investment, further driving the country’s development.

Future Plans and Potential

The Better Cambodia, through its partnership with Jake Sanders, aims to create a continuous flow of positive news about Cambodia. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to position Cambodia as a dynamic and forward-thinking nation. By highlighting success stories, cultural heritage, and developmental milestones, TBC Media seeks to inspire pride among Cambodians and interest among international audiences.

In his closing remarks, H.E. Samheng Boros shared his vision for Cambodia’s future: “We are committed to building a prosperous and inclusive Cambodia. Our partnership with Jake Sanders will help us communicate our vision and achievements to the world, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among our people and our international partners.”

This landmark agreement represents a significant step forward for Cambodia in its quest to share its narrative and connect with the global community. The Better Cambodia’s efforts to promote positive news and foster international collaborations will undoubtedly contribute to the nation’s growth and prosperity.
