In a significant development for Cambodia-Azerbaijan relations, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on March 21, 2024. The meeting, which took place in Phnom Penh, marked an important milestone in the 30-year history of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
During the meeting, both dignitaries expressed their satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in various domains. They also pledged to extend mutual support in international forums, recognizing the importance of collaboration for the benefit of both countries and their citizens.
