Turkish Airlines has announced the launch of regular flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh, set to commence on December 10, 2025. The addition of Cambodia to the airline’s network will make it the seventh country served in Southeast Asia and Phnom Penh the eleventh city in the region.
With this new route, Turkish Airlines aims to strengthen trade relations between Türkiye and Cambodia while supporting economic growth in the Cambodian market. The Phnom Penh flights will expand the airline’s Far East network to 20 cities and 21 airports.
“This new route will offer Turkish Airlines’ guests easier access to one of the key destinations in the region and further highlight the unmatched connectivity of our airline, as the only European carrier flying to this destination,” the airline stated.
The flights will operate via Bangkok, Thailand, three times a week. Departures from Istanbul to Phnom Penh are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while return flights from Phnom Penh to Istanbul will take place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, emphasized the airline’s commitment to expanding its presence in Asia and strengthening connections with strategic destinations.
“The launch of flights to Phnom Penh is a crucial milestone in our efforts to expand in Asia. These flights will create new opportunities for tourism and business, enhancing connectivity between Türkiye and Cambodia,” he said.
As the only European airline operating this route, Turkish Airlines aims to reinforce its leadership in the region.
H.E. Ms. Ülkü Kocaefe, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cambodia, has previously highlighted the significant impact of this direct route, noting that it will reduce travel time and improve accessibility for both business and leisure travelers. She also emphasized that the flights will facilitate trade and investment, further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
