This year, the World Bridge Group’s Chairman, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, organised Cambodia Night to showcase Cambodian products, particularly Khmer cuisine, to international dignitaries attending the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos, Switzerland.

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the auspicious event, also attended by His Excellency Lok Chumteav, a Royal Government of Cambodia official, and numerous world forum speakers.

High-ranking leaders from around the world attended the Cambodia night at World Economic Forum to discuss investment opportunities in Cambodia as an attractive investment destination given its robust economic growth and stable macroeconomic indicators.

Neak Oknha Sear Rithy said that “since joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2004, Cambodia has been taking positive steps in the region and worldwide. The World Economic Forum is a global event. We are honored to present Cambodia to all of the leaders gathered today”. He stated, “Cambodia is an excellent place for investment and business.”

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodia’s Prime Minister, expressed his admiration for Neak Okhna Sear Rithy, who organized the night to showcase Cambodia to the World Economic Forum’s international speakers and delegates from different countries. He tasted traditional national delicacies cooked by the Kimasan twins and Chanty of Phnompenh’s Sombok Restaurant.

The Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Commerce and Cambodian entrepreneurs to enhance competition with the worldwide market for Cambodian products, mainly traditional food, on all international forums in the region and throughout the world.

He said on occasion, “The event will show investors and visitors about Cambodia’s historical achievements and potential opportunities, as well as investment opportunities, culture, traditions, food, and more.”

The theme of the 2022 Annual Meeting, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF), is “History at a Turning Point.”

In the light of the worldwide pandemic, the situation in Ukraine, geo-economic issues, government policies and business strategies are being discussed.
